Noticed it only this morning. Someone either at the office or the gym can’t park for shit. This is after I used Meguiars ScratchX. OK I need touch up paint recommendations. what is the best brand that matches OEM closest ? where do i buy one that is not messy? A paint pen would be ideal. Suggestions, Oppo?

See if the dealer sells the paint pen in your color code. VW does, so there's hope yet.

TBH I have been less than satisfied
with pain pens. The last one I tried filled the scratch, and I even sealed it. After 2-3 months the paint wore off, now I’m in the middle of winter and waiting for rust to take hold for good.

I wonder if Dr. Color Chip or similar would work with this.

If there’s depth, you may need to fill a bit to get the level back up, then a dealer paint pen (toothpick or fine artist’s brush is sometimes better than the brush that comes with the paint). Clay afterwards, then clear.
Or just call Bumper Doctor or Dr. Colorchip, they are pretty reasonable in most places.

Nearest Infiniti dealer is 100 miles away, have to try the local Nissan dealer and see if they have the exact match but I’m afraid they’ll try to scalp me on the price.

I googled Bumper Doctor and I got results for MDs named Dr. Bumper LOL. I will check Dr. Colorchip online and try DIY

hmm...Good old fashion 2 step paint and clearcoat and whatever process I need to do then.

G oing to look at this, have to compare to what Automotive touchup offers and read up on reviews to see which one is better

Thanks. Considering this which seems to be cheaper vs. The Dr. Colorchip kit. Comparing ease of use vs multiple uses in future vs how exact the color match is

Check around online, I second OEM paint pens, but you may need a nicer brush to appy.
Toyota ones have paint and clearcoat on either
ends
of the pen.

Please report on your degree of success. I too need to touch up some things.

VW has a separate pen for clear but I think I got both for $25.

I think I paid $25 for the color and clear pens from VW. I’m sure I could have found it cheaper online, but knowing the color was right was important.
